Digital Mapping & Colourways

Simulation on physical sample

From the simulation we can then recolour any aspect of the design to help customers visualise and help them with selecting colours.

1. Yarn colours and yarn thickness would be entered into the software to help give us our desired stitchÂ

2. Once we have the correct stitch we can then work on shaping this onto a virtual model so we can send to customer for approval
3. Once the CAD has been approved, we can then move onto knitting. Below is the final designÂ

BESPOKE
DESIGN

Creating bespoke knitwear requires a blend of craftsmanship & technical knowledge. Our highly experienced design and development team are on hand to support all our customers needs in any capacity required. From digital designs using Apex Fiz, right through to a finished garment we are here to help & guide in any capacity needed.Â

Apex Fiz software has been created by Shima Seiki and this is compatible with our Shima Seiki programming software and knitting machines.
APEX FIZ DESIGN

Apex Fiz software has been invaluable to us and our customers, over many years.
We get a really clear picture of what the customer needs are before sampling. This reduces time, cost and also reduces the amount of yarn & materials required helping us be more sustainable.Â
Its a key tool for a right first time approach.

THE SHORT N' SWEET BAKERYÂ

We received the customer logo and some basic information. After discussing in more detail. After yarn, gauge, stitch, and block measurements were decided, and a colour selection was made. We then simulated into garment form, with a selection of colourway's.Â
and two designs were selected. Â

PROGRAMMING & KNITTING
Once a simulation has been approved we move onto the sampling stage.
From the simulation file our highly skill programming technicians will convert and create the individual computer programme for our Shima Seiki knitting machines.Â
Our programmer's will over see the knitting of panels then store the data and recorded knit times.Â
These panels are then be rested, before being handed over to our Garment
Technicians, who will double check for quality and make sure panel sizes are correct.

GARMENT CONSTRUCTION & FINISHING

All garments are made with the upmost care, and are checked for quality, finish. Measurements are recorded against customer specification.Â
Our technical team can create specification sheets if required, through to advice and guidance on grading.
At this stage we can also provide an accurate cost price.  Â
